Cathy, her sister, and myself spent a rainy afternoon in Neiwan on Sunday. Neiwan is a small community east of Hsinchu. While driving there we caught a glimpse of the train on the Hsinchu – Neiwan route packed with people going to the same destination as we were:
I think we are getting closer:
Somehow, we were able to find a parking space in all the mess so we could finally explore the area. The crowds were tolerable, likely only because it was going to rain sometime that evening:
Of course, the place was filled with food vendors, so we didn’t have to go hungry long after arriving:
Taiwan has entered the global space race:
More of doing the tourist thing:
Neiwan Train Station feeds the area with tourists:
I have no idea why this is here:
The pedestrian bridge and the beautiful weather we encountered:
Time to make our own tea, first we grind everything together:
While doing this we eat snacks:
In the end, it looks like this and tastes delicious:
The place was run by this couple, they were the nicest people we met on the trip. Showering them with compliments paid off because they gave us a discount in the end:
Hmmm.. So lovely! 🙂
Nice place, I’m sure it hasn’t changed much since when I visited.
