Welcome to the Daily Bubble Tea! I’m Todd Alperovitz and my blog is largely focused on the fun places I travel with my beautiful wife Cathy in Taiwan.

I moved to Taiwan in spring 2006. For two years, I lived in Zhonghe, a suburb of Taipei City. During most of that time I studied Chinese at the Mandarin Training Center of National Taiwan Normal University [Shida].
Two years of big city living was more than enough for me, so I moved to beautiful Jhongsing Village in Nantou County. On May 17, 2008 I proposed to Cathy and before long we were married on December 27, 2008.
I didn’t get into photography as a hobby until after I came to Taiwan. In fall 2007 I switched from a point and shoot to a DSLR. The Daily Photo feature on this site is an attempt to keep myself constantly shooting and improving [although I'm much too unreliable to actually post every day and whether or not I'm improving is arguable]. During warmer weather, I enjoy photographing and identifying Taiwan’s vast variety of butterflies. Another hobby of mine is cycling, which started because the city I live in doesn’t have a good public transportation network, I’m too scared to drive a scooter, and I can’t afford a car right now.
Hope you enjoy the blog! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
