Hello, my name is Todd Alperovitz and I couldn’t find a better picture of myself. I moved to Taiwan in March ‘06 shortly after graduating from Eastern Michigan University (History and Political Science for Secondary Education). While at Eastern I met my girlfriend Cathy who finds her way in just about half of the pictures I post. Cathy moved back to Taiwan while I was doing my student teaching, so once I finished my program I decided to teach English in Taiwan as the market for Social Studies teachers in U.S. public high schools is pretty slim. I am currently living in Jhongsing Village in Nantou County after living in Taipei for two years and attending the Mandarin Training Center at National Taiwan Normal University for six semesters.

Early photos featured on this website were taken with a Canon S200. The S200 was replaced in Nov. 2006 with a Nikon P3. In Aug. 2007, I fell in love with a Nikon D40.

Panoramas on this site are created using a wonderful little program for MacOSx called Calico. All images are hosted on Flickr, but you probably already knew that.
