Beautiful! I wonder how long they took to do that. I went to a temple once near Taipei City, and it was so beautiful. Paintings, statues… and it was on the side of a mountain. Can’t remember what it was called.
This temple was under restorations for a few years. Every year I visited it there was scaffolding and tarps everywhere. I’m very pleased with the results.
I wish I could tell you the name of the temple you visited that was on the side of a mountain… but there are so many that fit your description!
