The Guizikeng Hiking Trial can be reached by taking the MRT to Fuxinggang Station. Once out, turn right to get on the Metro Green Garden Trail.
It was the first trail formally adopted by the Taipei City Government.
The path leads up Xiaopingding Mountain, this day offered a slightly hazy view of Beitou. The two tall buildings in the center-right of the photo are new residential buildings nearing completion across from the Beitou MRT Station.
Of course, there was plenty of plant and animal life along the way…
There were no less than a dozen butterflies of this variety flying together, I waited a moment for this one to land because he had the most vivid colors of the bunch.
