The evening of 12/31/06 was spent at Mao Kong in anticipation of Taipei 101′s fireworks. The view from where we were was great and not very crowded.

Going to Mao Kong was no problem because our taxi driver knew every back road imaginable. Getting home was a two-and-a-half hour ordeal as everyone was predictably leaving at once.
