A weekend in Nantou

After work on Saturday Cathy and I took a trip to Jhongsing Village, Nantou by bus to visit her family. On Sunday, we started the day by going to a traditional market:

All kinds of food for sale.

I asked this gentleman if it would be ok to take his picture, to which he played cool for. After taking the picture, someone he knew asked him, “I didn’t know anyone still wanted to take your picture now that you are so old.” To which he quipped, “Because of my muscles.” And flexed for onlookers.

Next was lunch with the family:

The restaurant was nice, the outside was very well landscaped:

Early photos featured on this website were taken with a Canon S200. The S200 was replaced in Nov. 2006 with a Nikon P3. In Aug. 2007, I fell in love with a Nikon D40.

Panoramas on this site are created using a wonderful little program for MacOSx called Calico. All images are hosted on Flickr, but you probably already knew that.
